School Drug Policy

The Blueprint team has made available their toolkit to help schools review their drug policies.

We have been given permission to upload the document to the Drug Education Forum website by the Home Office who have told us they hope that schools and those that work with schools will find the toolkit helpful.

The document covers:

• Why have a drug policy?

• What should a drug policy do?

• How to go about writing a drug policy.

• How to consult on a drug policy.

• Working on the media.

• Making sure all the issues have been addressed.

The Drug Education Forum believes that it is important that all stakeholders in a school play a part in developing drug policies. This includes teachers, governors, parents and pupils.
