Seminar on Effective Approaches to Drug Education and Prevention

The Drug Education Forum is pleased to be able to announce that we will be holding a free half day seminar on effective approaches to drug education and prevention.

The event will take place in the afternoon of Monday 16th November in the library at Commonwealth Hall, Cartwright Gardens, London, WC1.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Patricia Conrod from the Institute of Psychiatry, she will talk about the results of the targeted prevention work she and her team have been doing in London schools.
  • Peer Van de Kreeft, the head of prevention at De Sleutel, he will speak about the implementation of the successful European drug prevention programme, Unplugged, which was run by EUDAP.
  • Matthew Scott and Tim Legrand, from Tonic Consultants, who will talk about a paper they have written for the Drug Education Forum looking at the principles of effective drug education and how this can be turned into practice.

This event promises to be lively and thought provoking and will be of value to policy makers as well as practitioners.

Please let me know if you would like to attend.
